tall houses, low skies, empty pockets and closed eyes my thoughts are surrounded by barriers built upon old lies I try to seperate myself from this wicked spell keep thinking bout the downsides in the middle of the crowd without any doubt I remember what it feels like I walk the same streets in the same town I perceive the same smell and the same sound it's the same flow anywhere I go everything is as before, nothing new to be found small talk and short nights try to settle down while the time flies reinvention was the big dream but slowly turns into a nightmare I am carefully moving back and forth to walk the line the quater inch tape still plays the same and opens up the low skies I walk the same streets in the same town I perceive the same smell and the same sound it's the same flow anywhere I go everything is as before, nothing new to be found

It is with great excitement that Exquisite Instant announces the release of our sophomore studio album Night Rides And Highlights, out in spring 2024. It is bright, it is dark, it is hard, it is soft. It is an introspective journey from sunset to sunrise - cozy, bittersweet and somewhat nostalgic.

Once the four of us had come together to write new music we were discerning the night ride vibe that our early ideas were implying from the very beginning. We went into it and kept mining. As the first instruments were tracked many little highlights flashed from them through the woven textures of our ripening arrangements - hence the album title.

Not only is Low Skies its first single but moreover the first song we wrote in our current line up, just after Louie Bloomfield had joined the band.

Our goal is to dive deeply into the magical fields of rhythm, harmony and melody to experience ever so much new and face up to the unknown along the journey. Resultant, Night Rides And Highlights witnesses the progression of our music and friendship. We welcome you to join us on this eclectic and swirly ride.
